Let's make some pants (or shorts, depending on what you want to do with the pattern)! We'll formally meet 1x/week for 4 weeks between January 27-February 17th, but you're welcome to continue working as you please outside of the workshop time. Registering for this workshop means you'll be joining us on Tuesdays January 27-February 17 from 10:30am-12pm. Exciting!

We'll begin with talking about how to use sewing patterns and determining the best size for each participant. Next we'll start cutting out our patterns (from the paper) and then cutting those patterns out of the fabric. From there, sewers will work at their own pace to move through the process to completion. Each person can choose if they want to make pants or shorts and if they'd like customize with cargo pockets. Staff will be on hand to guide and assist as needed! Please direct additional questions to makerspace@seattleu.edu.

For this workshop, we're using this Mccalls Unisex Cargo Pants/Shorts Pattern.

All materials will be provided.

*Note: this is an advanced workshop that requires participants already be trained on the sewing machines at the makerspace. Please direct additional questions to makerspace@seattleu.edu.

Pre-requisites: Maker Orientation and Any makerspace sewing training or lesson.
