Come over to the Media Production Center (MPC) for coffee and treats as different members of the community share their creative process and/or a particular project they've been working on. We will be open for business as usual, so feel free to grab a coffee and give a listen while you work on your own projects.

For our 2nd Maker Share of this quarter, we're happy to have SU Staff member and Alum Karsten Kohout to join us! 

Karsten Kohout is a 2021 Seattle University Communications and Humanities alum.  After graduation, he worked as a freelance stream engineer and live production jack-of-all-trades for clients such as Twitch, Microsoft, and Meta via a few studios in the Seattle area. Currently, he is pursuing a Certificate of Computer Science Fundamentals at Seattle University while working full-time at Seattle University Events as the External Events Logistics Coordinator.  Over the past decade, he has run a live audio and lighting company named Kx2 Productions, LLC.  This side business has been the backing of a successful DJ'ing profile, with Karsten securing clients such as the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Seawolves, and Seattle University Basketball in addition to completing many private parties such as weddings, dances, and corporate events.  Kx2 Productions, LLC has grown quickly since the pandemic, completing over 150 events in three and a half years as of January, 2025.  Between his previous freelance work, current full-time job, and side business, Karsten has either coordinated, contributed to, or operated approximately 450 events since mid-2021.
