Webinar: Demonstrating Research Influence with Alternative Metrics

Webinar: Demonstrating Research Influence with Alternative Metrics

Traditional research and publication metrics such as journal impact factor and h-index are great for identifying the scholarly uses and impact of research and scholarship, but they are not the only ways to measure impact and influence. Alternative metrics is the concept of broadly measuring the influence of one’s scholarly body of work using nontraditional methods, especially through online interactions. This webinar will discuss alternative metrics: what it is, limitations, benefits, and tools at Seattle University for finding alternative metrics. Register here.
